Beta Testing
Version 0.0.0.1 was just uploaded. I am about to send out a link to my mailing list* for anyone that would like to test this out!

Version 0.0.0.1
Maybe I'm getting a bit impatient and want people to try out the game, as I know there are still plenty of things I need to do, but I've learned in the past to get people to test out your game early. I've definitely waited too long in the past and learned the hard way.
I have been finding little bugs or issues here and there - like I just found some translated text that isn't matching up during language learning mode - but here are a couple of major callouts:
- No Audio: There is no audio in the project. I definitely want music and sound effects both in this project but I have focused on other areas so far.
- Language Translations: You can go into the settings menu and change the language, but this is focused on dialogue. For the time being there are plenty of other places text appear that are not translated, such as menus and cut scene text (the text on black screen).
- High Scores: Implementation of high scores have been started but not completed. High Scores are not being recorded yet.
Noted these major items that are not complete so people don't need to call them out in the comments. Feel free to comment on any other area you please!

**Note: I'm not sure if the Beta Testing is the correct term for this but oh well

Hi! I really dig what is here so far, but the controls were very awkward for me. I see that I can move with WASD or the arrow keys, but J and Z are so far apart.
If I move with WASD, holding down Z is a little cramped, I wind up doing a weird claw thing with my hand. If I use the arrow keys, I have to completely lift my hand to hit J or Z, which is difficult when trying to be quick and stealthy.
Personally, I'd love a control scheme that utilized something like Shift or Control as secondary keys. Or maybe J and another key closer to J, like L or K.
Aside from that, the sprites look great, I love the facial expressions!
Also, after writing this out, I realized that controls can be customized, which is great! Maybe it's just me, but if anyone else struggles with the default controls maybe they could be switched?
Thanks! That is great feedback.
Honestly, I have been doing the majority of my testing using a gamepad, and even when I have been using keyboard I had already customized the controls (which gets saved in local storage) so I can't even remember what the default controls are.
I'll play more often using keyboard so I can figure out some better default controls, but anyone can weigh in on here as well.
I think I was going for all the gameplay action keys on the left side of the keyboard and dialogue keys on the right. I pretty sure I chose Z though thinking that is a common option when using the arrow keys. Basically I just kind of picked something at first and forgot to go back and rethink it all once I had all the buttons/actions added.
Oh! I didn't realize gamepad was an option. The onscreen instructions just showed the keys and I never even considered anything else. I'll give gamepad a shot!
