Have an idea of where I'm going with this, but the first day I focused on the logic to make the roads and tiles 'tile' properly.

Details

  • Click the road or wall UI tile in the top-right corner (3rd UI icon does not do anything at this time)
  • Left mouse button to tile selected tile
  • Right mouse button to remove selected tile

Cannot build tunnels on 3 or 4 way intersections or corners.  Wouldn't be logical and also difficult to convey in an image.
